    Troubleshooting steps for when the "Share With Crunchafi" button is inactive

    Occasionally, you may encounter an inactive Share with Crunchafi button when trying to connect to QuickBooks Desktop:

    Confirm that Crunchafi (Strongbox) Connect is running on the same machine as QuickBooks Desktop. Also, confirm that the login credentials are for an Admin user.

    Troubleshoot using the following steps:

    1. Close QuickBooks if it is currently open.

    2. Uninstall Strongbox Connect following the steps in our Knowledge Base article How to Remove Crunchafi (Strongbox) Connect

    3. Now reinstall Crunchafi (Strongbox) Connect

      • Navigate to the Downloads folder 

      • Right-click on the most recent Crunchafi (Strongbox) Connect version that has been downloaded.

      • Note: When using Windows 11, you may need to click "Show More Options" after right-clicking to access "Run as Administrator"

    4. Reopen QuickBooks Desktop and your file

    5. This should enable the Connect to Crunchafi button
