    Transaction Audit Stamps

    What are transaction audit stamps?

Transaction Audit Stamps are four new columns added to every TXN tab in Crunchafi Data Extraction output files. These provide transaction-level metadata critical for standard audit procedures, including:

    • Creation Date: The UTC timestamp showing when the transaction was originally created in the accounting system.
    • Created by: The user who created the transaction in the accounting system.
    • Last Modified: The UTC timestamp showing when the transaction was last updated in the accounting system.
    • Last Modified By: The user who last updated the transaction in the accounting system.

Note: Because ERPs differ in how they store time values, the UTC timestamps in Excel will display with the maximum precision available from the source system. Some ERPs provide seconds, others only minutes. Not all systems capture every field consistently. Data Extraction will always surface the highest level of precision and availability the source ERP supports. When Xero users modify a transaction, it creates a new transaction against the original transaction. As such, in the Data Extraction output workbooks, the user will see Creation Date and Last Modified timestamps being identical.

The following is a screenshot of what the new columns look like in the output files.
