Do I have to add my client to Data Extraction to collect their data?

No. You can still collect data from your client without granting them access to your Data Extraction portal. There are two ways to do this when creating a new data collection:

Option #1: When using our connect to accounting system option, select create connection link to generate a secure, temporary URL. The client can use this URL to share the data you are requesting from their accounting system without having to log into your portal. 

Option #2: When using our Universal Upload option, select create upload link to generate a secure, temporary URL. The client can export the data you are requesting from their accounting system and use this URL to upload the data without having to log into your portal. 

NOTE:

Universal Upload is helpful for clients who have systems that are not currently supported by Crunchafi's native third-party system connections. For information on which systems are currently supported, click here.
