A rent abatement is a period of time where no rent is due to the lessor or from the lessee. To enter an abatement in Crunchafi Lease Accounting, simply skip this period of time when entering lease payments or enter a $0 payment for the period.
IMPORTANT
Abatements are not incentives as no cash is changing hands from lessor to lessee.
